In a simple ceremony, the award "Distributor of the Year 2010" was given to the director of Kassimatis Cycling, Nikos Kassimatis, in Specialized's recognition of the excellent progress their products have made in the Hellenic market.

Initially, the presentation of the award was scheduled to take place in April at the company's headquarters in Morgan Hill of California, but due to cancellations of all airline flights during those days (see volcanic ash issue) that was not made possible.

So, on May 18th Volker Eckhoff, Specialized sales manager for Europe, visited Kassimatis Cycling in Peiraius and delivered the award to Nikos Kassimatis.

Nikos said when receiving the award "I thank Specialized and its people for the honour they are doing me. This award is not only for me, but to the whole team of Kassimatis Cycling that gave and continues to give 100% constantly. Also I wish to thank the Specialized sales network in the sum of the markets that Kassimatis Cycling serves, in Hellas, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Malta.".

Not that this award is in respect of the global market and is presented each year to the best distributor of Specialized. This year, is the second year that the Hellenic distributor is awarded, since last year he was named Best European Specialized Distributor.
